Augusta is still home for Marvin

We keep hoping that each week will be the last for Marvin's long stay in the hosp. Test after test and he is still nauseous. He has been with out food in the regular sence for 4 days and still no relief. Next they tried liquid diet to no avail. I keep hopeing they will just get him up and let him exercise his arms and see if movement helps but the VA forces move slowly. Lastest test ( some cat scan speciality item) showed the same thing as always. He has slow, very slow digestion from the injury. What can be done? They don't know but are going to try new drugs. I am ready and so is he for any thing that will help this debilitating nausea. Hig blood pressure is the next thing that will keep him from his room at home. He may come home or he may have to go to a facility to regain some strength. God will be with him where ever Marvin goes and so will the prayers of so many of our wonderful friends. He loves the cards and calls and even has a private room for the moment. There are some wonderful people there and you know Marvin.. he can make a friend in a minute. Skip is about 6'7 and has started wearing a Santa hat while he baths Marvin. He even sings Christmas songs and has brought Marvin tapes and movies. I know Marvin is OK under his watch.
I head back tomorrow. Have been home for 2 days and Mandy is home from Penland. We may not have MArvin home but we still have things for which to be thankful. We feel that Marvin will come home soon and for a while it didn't look that way. He is finally feeling a little better and is so thankful for that. And so important are the friends who have stayed with us and lifted us up in prayer.
God Bless you all on this holiday
