Marvin goes bowling

Yes, Marvin went bowling with the other patients at the VA! He said it is the only way to go if you want strikes without much effort. Talk with him about it when he come home in November. He is feeling better and is buzzing around the hall better now. Even the awful leg cramps are better.
Scott, the young marine who made it back from Iraq only to be hurt while surfing on Labor Day, has helped him answer the phone and traded stories while cheering him up. God once again has put people in our life who have helped us and shared God's love with us. Scott is in the bed next to Marvin and doing well. Add him to your prayer lists if you can. His parents are great and had to go back to NJ to move their household to Beaufort SC to be with Scott.

Hi Cathie and Marvin! 9/24 12:30p
Greetings from Rachel and Sheryl.
Again Mom will be praising the Lord when I bring home this update with more good news. Indeed we will add Scott to our prayer list. This morning in OT class we read the Psalmist assuring that The LORD is our fortress, our shield, and our strength. I taught them the song from Psalm 46:10, "Be still (cease striving) and know that I am God." For sure everything else is sinking sand and blows with the wind. Have an uplifting weekend with much praise to the Lord God Almighty!
Blessings, Sheryl

Dear Marvin,
Billy has gone with his football group to watch Miami this afternoon. You know how he loves it.

The Lord is also busy here. My left eye had a
diognosis which would have meant a $7,000 problem. After a month of prayer from friends and church, the "hole" the doctor saw is now a pseudo hole. Praise God, I'm fine. My friend, Celia, taught me a little rhyme: "Each little cell of my body is healthy, each little cell of my body is well in Jesus name" Say it. I think it has healing power for you, too.

Little Eunice is having a good lucid day. She is eating well, (loves her potato soup). and she smiles a lot, lately. Always, she asks for you. we still tell her you are busy at the hospital and that satisfies her.

May God bless each little cell of your body as he has my eye.

Marvin and Cathie,

It is so encouraging for us to hear every little bit of news and progress, and to feel so profoundly grateful with you. As time goes by you are in our prayers as strong as ever, and it seems to be working!

Hi Cathie and Marvin,

So good to talk to you Cathie, there is nothing so special as the human voice. Marvin, you astound me, keep going one day at a time. My heart and prayers go to your friend Scott. When 2 people with your needs help one another that is a true test of faith and inspires us as well as you two.
