JULY 21 afternoon

Dearest friends
Marvin was able to move his legs and feet today with more range than before. When leaned forward in his chair he was able to pull himself back. It was a wonderful thing to see him smile. The first one in two days. The feeding tube will be inserted tomorrow and we have decided to view it as one more way for him to let his throat heal and help with his nausea. I spent a long time in the chapel today and God is working with me. Thank you for the cards and continued prayers.

Hi Cathie and Marv! 7-21-05 9:43pm
How wonderful to read of God's blessing today. My NT class is in prayer for you as they also are for a classmate's son and daughter whose best friend was killed Sat. night. The threesome had their senior picture taken together, took the SAT at the same time, and were going off to the same college together. The funeral will be tomorrow at noon at the big Baptist church on Folly Rd.
We spent the last part of our four-hour workshop in Rom.8:28- . How God will work everything together for good to accomplish His purposes, we know not. But we do know that nothing will separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. We are more than conquerers because of this love.
Have healing sleep tonight. I'll leave Southern Wesleayan now and head home via Harris Teeter. Mom will be pleased to hear of this latest update. Earlier I read today's first one to her over the phone. Monday night I'll be back to teach and will again log on to read and write. At home I have email, but not the internet.
Blessings, Sheryl

Comment RePosted to correct entry:

Cathie,

That's the spirit. I smiled today when I saw the flower arbor you made with the children at Stiles Point School. You are such a "colorful" person and share your gifts with so many. May God continue to give you the strength to make it through your greyist days.

Linda Thomas of Carolina Beach, NC emailed me to inform me of the sad news about Marvin. I read through the comments and can only sense the stress, sorrow, and hardship that your entire family must be experiencing now. In the "day to day journey" through the various blog entries, I sense the ups and downs that each day brings. Please know that I am thinking about all of you and will pray that the healing will continue.

I was sorry I couldn't make it to Bug Stomp this year. I wish you the best as you continue the hard work that is ahead.

Fondly,
Vic Correll

I keep trying to send a messaga to let you know about Katie. She is doing fine and is eating well and enjoying the company of the other dogs. Everyday I remind her that Marvin and you will be coming home to her. Katie is a precious gift and I will continue to care for her in the best way that I can. My thoughts are with you. Love,Pal
