Marvin's in "hot" water

Got your attention! Marvin is in Columbia working with Voc Rehab in the most wonderful pool you can imagine! He has his own therapist and may spend up to 2 hr. in water therapy. Imagine how this feels to a guy who has been without water other than an occasional shower for a year! He feels great and can move those arms so much more easily. He hopes that by the end of this rehab he will be able to write again. Now that is saying something for a Dr that none but I could read his script before the accident. I am hoping that he will be able to feed himself as that would give him so much freedom. He has been a great listener for some of the younger patients at the center and I believe that gives him such a lift. Being of help to another gives him back some of the dignity that he needs to keep working for recovery.
When we spoke last night he sounded so happy! Great food and good people to help him seems to be the rule. God brought us this service as our old counselor at Voc Rehab never spoke of such a place. A newer man took over and he is a believer brought up in the church by a mother who had him there every opportunity. He shared his desire to help us and found this opportunity within a week! Your prayers are still working and God is still listening. We are expecting a miracle and a way for MArvin the let others know of God's grace in this life changing event.
I bring him home Friday and take him back on Sunday. If you are in Columbia, he is on Boston Rd. near the airport.
I am going to work in the studio now for the first time in 9 months!
May you know that intercessory prayer changes things and that you are part of the miracle.
God's Blessing on all of you,
CAthie
