Welcome the New Year

This week has been such an exciting one for us! Marvin has gotten more movement back in his arms and legs! He has been able to help me put his clothes on and kick off his shoes. We have even more good things happening. With Marka's help Marvin has been able to put more pressure on his legs and pull himself up higher to nearly standing. we practice this twice a day and cheer as he gains more strength and confidence. It has been a rough road and this bright moment makes walking again seem possible. We are to go back to Augusta on the 10th for the day to show off and get his chair worked on so that he can drive without the chin switch. His stronger hands should excite the staff.
There have been so many friends who have come by to visit and bring food and gifts during this Christmas season. It has made Marvin daily aware of the love and prayer that surrounds him. Please know that we are in your debt for helping Marvin find the will to fight harder.
May this New Year bring you hope and joy

Hi, Cathie and Marvin,
Thanks for sharing the good news about Marvin's great progress since he's come home. It sounds like both of you are working hard to get past the "what used to be's". Who knows - - a year from now you could have a whole new set of blessings. You've sure had an incredible 7 months of challenges, self-examination and tests of your love and faith. For those of us on the outside, you're a wonderful example of courage and perseverance. It must be so exciting to see some really measurable progress...congratulations!
You deserve all the good things that the new year can bring.

Congratulations to you all!
It was so wonderful to see Marvin and you at church this past Sunday and we rejoiced again that he felt well enough to attend, especially since it was Communion Sunday.
Good luck on your trip back to Augusta on the 11th. Keep up your spirits.
